Sunwayfoto have 2 models in their new updated "Ultra compact" Carbon Fibre range. The T2841CE & T2541CE, both feature the same design, and some unusual touches such as a new style triangular central column, vented top legs, and weather sealing in the form of O rings on the twist locks and feet/spikes.
I take an in depth look at this tripod (the one shown here is the T2841CE), discuss some details and some of my thoughts using this model. I also show the optional "leg warmers/grips" (LWP-03 in digital camo)

The triangular shaped centre column ensures that the legs can fold tightly together with minimal space in-between. Compared with similar tripods the T2541CE occupies 28% less volume when packed.
✪ 4 Leg Sections with tube diameters of 0.75inch(19mm),0.87inch(22mm) 0.98inch(25mm) and 0.98inch 1.1inch(28mm)，reaching as low as 2.75inch(7cm) and max height of 62.6inch(159cm). 3 Leg Angles of 23, 55 and 85 for daily shooting. The lightweight but strong carbon fibre leg tubes, combined with 40mm lengthened friction tube shims between leg sections, maximize isolation and rigidity of the joints of fully extended legs. Load Capacity of 33lb(15kg).
✪Sealed Twist Locks effectively prevent water, sand or dust from entering the locks and tubes, in this way extending the longevity of the tripod. Stable joints design effectively prevents loosening up of the tripod legs from the apex due to frequent use.
✪Included short and long centre columns can be switched easily to meet different demands of photographers for standard or ground level shooting.
✪Vent holes at the upper part of the leg tubes ensure efficient air inflow and exhaust when pulling or pushing back the leg tubes in order to extend and fold the tripod swiftly and smoothly. Quick action twist locks, wrapped with silicone for better grip, require only 1/4 of a turn to loosen or tighten.
