With Great PowerPoint Comes Great Responsibility
Is it possible to make the world a better place with better presentations? I think it is.
With Great PowerPoint, Comes Responsibility was written, performed and recorded for the TBD conference on the 27th of February 2024. I sadly couldn't be there, so I had to pre-record my talk.
The talk is about the power, dangers, and seductions of PowerPoint and presentations. I thought it might be fun to do it without slides.
Part 1 focuses on the seductive powers of PowerPoint, with Part 2 diving deep into the harm that can be done with a .PPT. In the final part, we look towards the power, purpose and responsibility that goes with presenting.
It was a joy to write. I made the decision to avoid the usual bells and whistles that one might have come to expect when editing a YouTube video, focusing instead on the words, my voice, and the purpose.
