In many of the controversies under discussion today, including those at the intersection of science and faith, people on all sides seek to use the Bible to support their position. The question to be addressed is, are we respecting the authority of the Bible in the way that we conduct ourselves in these discussions? We unpack the potential problems and consider what guardrails we need to have to ensure that we are using the Bible well. Does it matter how we use the Bible and how can we do better?
