AGT Announces Progress With HIV Cure Program - ABC 7 Interview with CEO Jeff Galvin
Jeff Galvin, CEO of American Gene Technologies, speaks with ABC7 WJLA’s Justin Hinton as AGT achieves an important milestone in the company’s history.
On May 19, the first participant of the Phase 1 clinical trial of AGT's HIV Cure Program was infused with the AGT103-T cell product, marking an inflection point in the company’s mission to find a functional cure for HIV. This is the first-in-human study for AGT103-T. The Phase 1 will evaluate the safety of the drug in humans, but could also provide an efficacy signal.
Galvin believes that AGT has a great shot at a potential functional cure for HIV, and if successful, the next question is, “who will price it?”
