In today's video, you are going to learn what is the Best Turbulence Penetration speed, we are going to use the Boeing 737 X-plane 11 Simulator to do a practical Example.

Depending on your Cost Index the FMC of the Boeing 737 will calculate a Climb, cruise and, descent speeds. If the air is smooth you can simply follow the FMC speeds.

The situation changes when you are flying into some turbulence, in this case, there is something called BEST TURBULENCE PENETRATION Speed.

This is a speed that you should set when facing turbulence, the Boeing 737 this speed is 280Kt or 0.76MN whichever is lower.

In the video, you will see how to set this speed, and how to change it from 280Kt to 0.76Mn
