JAGUAR has two emblems and each is a version of its totemic animal. Their informal names the Leaper and the Growler suggest two aspects of the British company’s tradition. The Leaper is a long lithe cat usually seen as a hood ornament; it signifies feline grace. The Growler is a full-frontal cat face its teeth bared aggressively; it represents raw power.

The Jaguar XJ is the name of a of luxury cars sold by the British automobile brand Jaguar Cars since 1968. Since 1970 they have been Jaguar's flagship. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons the company's founder and the model has been featured in countless media and high-profile appearances. The current Jaguar XJ was launched in 2009. It is one of the cars used by the British royal family and an armoured version is used for transporting the UK Prime Minister.
