An unboxing and presentation video of the Tudor Black bay Pro reference 79470 launched in 2022.
The watch is very much a tool watch built for the extremes and has clear design inspiration from its bigger brother Rolex's Explorer 1655.
The watch features an additional GMT hand and a fixed 24-hour bezel.
The Black Bay Pro has a 39mm steel case and a lug width of just over 47mm from lug tip to lug time. It has a thickness of just under 15mm.
The watch is powered by the COSC-certified caliber MT5652 used by the Black Bay GMT released 2018. It is a manufacture movement.
The bracelet is equipped with a T-Fit clasp and a quick adjustment mechanism. The last link is connected to a portion within the clasp via spring so it only needs to be lifted to allow the slide to take effect. This is different from Rolex’s Glidelock system, which needs to be unseated before sliding to adjust. It might be more secure (?) but it’s not as refined as what Tudor has developed here.
