My first ever fan art: Sadia
This was my first ever fan art — Dominique Wenta as Sadia. I did everything from scratch, surrounded by a pile of references, and even sculpted the ears with portrait-like accuracy. It turned out to be an utterly delightful form of pleasure — diving into tangible sensations from the past, grasping the elusive likeness, reconstructing the image piece by piece: from frames of blurry videos, worn-out archival photos, and sparks of memories. Several days of euphoria, punctuated by exclamations like: "What kind of beads does she have there?!" and "Does it look like her... doesn't look like her... looks like her... doesn't look like her."
Now you know that all the characters that leap out from my fantasies to scare you invariably trace back to this ancient sinister deity from my childhood. When Dominique Wenta saw the fan art, I was over the moon with happiness!
