Visit to the Augur…
If you were living in Ancient Rome and wanted the heads up on what the future held, you would need to see an Augur.
Results were often mixed and paying the extra could make all the difference.
Do you go to Pompeii this year or head to Napoli for a change because the Augur said something about funny rumbling and fireworks?
A recently unearthed scroll, now roughly translated, appears to be a Diary and gives a taste of what a reading entailed.
