Communication is starting to become a lost art within todays society with all the technology that separates human beings from truly connecting with each other as we naturally should! If you can learn to communicate effectively, then you will be doing not only yourself but others you interact with on a daily basis, a HUGE favor! How can we ever expect to understand one another if we cannot convey the emotions were feeling and the thoughts were having? We cant! So we MUST 1. Learn and understand what communication is and then how to EFFECTIVELY communicate 2. Apply that into our DAILY lives and routines (repetition is the mother of learning). When you communicate you can either : INFLUENCE/INSPIRE (INSPIRIE is a much better way to put it) or MANIPULATE. INSPIRE is the ability to interreact with others and influence them in a positive manner, and you do that by empowering people and leaving them better off where you found them. When you inspire/influence people your working in their best interest along with yours, also known as WIN-WIN. MANIPULATION is when your interreact and influence others, and it might not always be a negative manner (certain people know what "flattering" things to say), but only for their benefit and none of yours, even if they leave you worse than where they found you. Very BIG difference, but as you learn to communicate properly your life will improve severely! Build rapport (commonality), gather intelligence, and control the conversation and you will do yourself justice in your conversations! Now a lot of people, including myself at times, hinder themselves because we get TOO attached to the OUTCOME of the conversation, which creates ANXIETY (living in the future)! Learn to Focus only on what you can control (the PRESENT/your effort/your actions) and moving FORWARD in the conversation and you will do just fine!
