Total impunity! Gang robs a bank in Ecuador and escapes
Moments of terror were experienced by those present at the El Fortín shopping center, located north of Guayaquil, Ecuador, when a gang of heavily armed criminals entered the store on the afternoon of Friday, March 31st.
It is believed the criminals entered the shopping center in two pickup trucks and were carrying high-caliber weapons, sparking panic among the store's merchants and visitors.
The assailants were quick to begin their siege, violently entering the shopping center, subduing customers in their path. They attacked several businesses, including Banco Pichincha, where they used sledgehammers to open the branch's windows and, once inside, stole a significant amount of money.
