Because we can get caught up in everyday life and putting our own desires first, we don't realize how we start replacing God with those exact things. This can be damaging because as we put things before God, we can actually start to make them our God. As Christians, God calls us to make Him the center of our lives and everything else will fall into place and be prosperous.
