MOMMY CATHY’S TIME TO SHINE
MANILA- As we mark “Mother’s Day” to honor the special woman in our life, Edward Barber, the proudest “Mama’s Boy” greeted the special lady in his life two days before the celebration.
During the May 8th MYX Daily Top 10 episode, VJ Edward shared the top 5 moments with his mom, known to all MayWard fans as “Mommy Cathy" or MC for short.
Wearing a “Superman” onesie, Edward showed pictures of him with his camera-shy “Supermom” and narrated his parents’ love story.
Calling his mom “gorgeous” (indeed she is), the romantic Edward admitted that at first, he thought that it was “love at first sight” for his Mom and Dad and that they met on a plane as MC was once a flight attendant for a Dubai-based airlines while Daddy Kevin (every fan knows him) travels a lot because of his job. Turned out, they were introduced by a mutual friend.
“My mom has been a front-liner of my life since I was born… I owe my mom everything,” said Edward as he also dedicated his episode to the modern-day heroes in the fight against Covid-19.
He can’t forget the words his mother told him a few minutes before he entered the PBB House: “Edward, I love you, be who I raised you to be, I am so proud of you, ngayon pa lang.”
And until now, he is still the son she raised him to be.
