In this video I have explained Cognizable offences and non cognizable offences. I have explained what are these and what is difference between these two. I also have explained how one/lawyer can know whether offence in cognizable or non-cognizable from the Cr.pC (Code of Criminal Procedure 1898). The main difference is that in cognizable offences police can arrest without warrants and in non-cognizable offence police cannot.
