Webinar 36: Fabry Perot FISO Sensors
Fabry-Perot sensors are the most widely used type of Fiber Optic Sensors. With more than 1 million sensors shipped, our sister company FISO is the world largest producer of optical fiber sensors. Fabry-Perot sensors are particularly adapted for the measurement of pressure, strain, temperature and displacement and different versions of those sensors exist for the most diverse applications, including geotechnical and structural monitoring, cryogenic sensing, energy and biomedical applications. The low cost of the sensors and readout units make them ideal candidates for projects with limited budget, educational purposes or applications needing disposable sensors, while still offering all the well-known advantages of optical fiber sensing. In this webinar, we will briefly introduce the Fabry-Perot technology and sensors and then present numerous application examples of this technology.
