Dockstart: Mastering the F-One JAM 1400 on a Challenging Dock—Halloween Session! Pumpfoiling 🎃
My second session on the F-One JAM 1400, this time on a slightly more challenging dock for me. It’s only about 25 cm above the water surface, while my preferred height is around 70 cm above the surface.
My first few starts didn’t go too well, but I started running faster down the dock, which helped. After that, I was able to take off every time. In summary, the F-One JAM requires a quicker run-up at the start, unless you're launching from a higher position, where speed isn’t as critical.
The setup with the P200 and the 14 mm HM mast is incredibly light and rigid, making it easy to carve on this foil. Pumping up high on the mast is also a breeze, and the foil has an impressive glide. In my opinion, it even glides longer than the JAM 1600.
It's getting colder, and my thicker wetsuit makes me heavier (92 kg)! Not only was it harder to take off today, but I was also about a kilo heavier than in recent weeks. 🙃
