My junk LUND Genesis Tri-fold tonneau cover hinge replacement

I have a LUND Genesis Tri-Fold tonneau cover on my 1995 Dodge 2500 that I must say am not so happy with. It's poor design of the latches has bitten my fingers and thumbs more times than I care to discuss.. I bought this cover a little over four years ago to replace an Extang snap down cover that really had nothing wrong with it other than snapping it down in the winter was a pain. It was over 12 years old and was in good enough shape to sell to someone who I am sure is still enjoying it..
Anyhow the cover in the video has a failed hinge, and the manufacturer doesn't support it anymore, and did not have any suggestion on how to fix it. Luckily we have Google and I was able to find a repair kit so I could keep it going at least half the time the Extang cover it replaced.
