So the question is who can benefit from occupational therapy? A wide variety of people benefit from occupational therapy, adults, children, older adults, anyone who is facing challenges with their occupations, with their meaningful activities in their life. This can be play and leisure activities in kids as well as educational challenges. And it can also be
people's work, their ADLs, dealing with being able to toilet and bathe themselves, getting dressed, as well as dealing with things like your cooking activities and shopping and just getting around. So occupational therapy at a more broad standpoint addresses all these things. My specialty tends to be bringing their body
into the ability to function with those things. So I might work with people who are having trouble with their hips getting up and getting going in the morning as they age. Or I might work with someone who's had a recent shoulder injury or knee injury. As far as children go, I do really enjoy working with children and I might be working more with children who are having certain
challenges as they're moving forward, either they're developing a scoliosis or they're walking on their toes more than they need to be. And in what ways might their posture and the way they're moving their body not serve their occupations, their meaningful activities.
