Hi there, thanks for watching! In this video I take a closer look at the Sonicware Lofi12XT’s 12 bit mode by comparing rhythmic and melodic sounds with this effect enabled and disabled. A few insights:
-Overall it appears to make sounds louder, so its good for drums or other samples that need extra punch
-You can get some interesting effects by resampling sounds with 12 bit mode on, then keeping 12 bit mode enabled on the resampled pad for a “double” 12 bit mode effect
-You can parameter lock 12 bit mode, which allows you to select/automate which steps of your sequence have this effect on
