MissionThroughTime (Rough Draft) Rearranged
I rearranged the music track a little and modified it a bit to try to make it flow better.

Now that the composition has become almost 4 minutes long, I thought I'd do a full video upload so people can see the whole thing put together.
I'm sure there's more to be done and I'll probably keep coming back to it until it's finished, but for an amateur with no training or experience, I feel like I did pretty decent with this one.
I'm open to suggestion and ideas. I would rather know if I'm doing something horribly wrong and be able to fix it so I can get better. lol
Anyway, if you haven't seen the shorts I'll try to describe the concept of this composition.
As I was first building it, the sounds I put together kind of made me think of a person marching through a montage. I just started getting these images of all the things this person has to do while as faded images in the background while you see this person constantly marching forward, aging to various degrees before resetting back to the age they were when their time loop began.
I'm not a writer, but a story that came to mind for it is about a person who discovers a device that fuses itself to their body and hardwires to their heart. Any time this person dies for any reason they are reset back to the time the device first fused with them. Attempts to remove or disable the device results in the person getting painfully ripped out of time and the loop resets again.
While losing their mind with frustration over not being able to do anything to the device, they end up causing the device to engage a time hop that randomly slingshots them through time (as far back as the world first became able to sustain human life all the way to the final moments before it would explode). They're never able to figure out how to make it happen on purpose and have to choose carefully when to make the attempt and will live out their life any time they hop to a time that might allow them to stop their past self from starting the loop.
As they journey through time trying to make it to that one point, they realize that once they break the cycle they'll be removed from time as only the original past self would have a life which never goes beyond their first death (and thus will have a final rest instead of the multiple life times and experiences outside of their own timeline).
It's unclear if they ever decide to continue their mission, or resign to eternity reliving their life while taking random time hops. Maybe they had multiple chances and passed it up because they weren't sure they'd want to fade out of time to have never lived those experiences. Maybe they'd write an entire story for their past self to live by based on what they felt was the happiest experience, only realize they'd never follow it because they don't like not making their own choices. Perhaps even figured out a way to bypass the device's reset function and lived out the rest of their life cycle and want to find the right time line to end the cycle.
Just an idea. I thought it was cool that all of that came from just putting this together. haha
