Sku Grid: How to Estimate Credit Usage and Choose the Right Plan

In this video, I'm going to show you how to estimate your credit usage and choose the right plan in Sku Grid.
First, visit the Sku Grid home page.
Click on Pricing.
Click on Information About Credits.
On the credits page, you will see the actions that cause you to use credits and how much are used.
1 credit is used to check the price and/or stock of your item.
If you choose to use Compare To Item URLs (which is optional), it will cost 1 credit to check price and stock of those as well.
There is an initial check that is done by Sku Grid when you add items to the grid and that also costs 1 credit.
If it is determined that a change needs to happen on your listing (changing price and/or stock -- that is the definition of repricing) it will cost you 1 credit for each eBay or Amazon item involved.
If you scroll down a little bit, there is a little calculator that says Estimate Your Usage.
Enter your number of eBay or Amazon items you currently have or intend to have. Let's stick with 1000 for now.
Next, you select how often you would like your items checked and repriced. There's an option here for Every Half Hour but that no longer exists. The minimum frequency is 1 hr. Let's choose every 4 hrs.
Next, you select whether or not you will be using Compare To Item URLs. It's an optional feature and does not affect repricing. It is not recommended that eBay sellers use Compare to Item URLs. It's fine for Amazon. So let's select No. Using Compare to Item URLs also results in double the credit usage.
Next, select whether or not you will have Sku Grid changing your items (in otherwords repricing or changing price and/or stock) Let's select Yes.
As you can see, to check and reprice 1000 items every 4 hours without the use of Compare Item URLs, it would be estimated that you need 234,000 credits per month, so the $29.99 per month plan for 250,000 credits would be recommended.
Now let's make a small adjustment. Let's say you want to use Compare Item URLs. Let's change that option to Yes.
As you can see, the credit usage has nearly doubled to 414,000 credits per month. The $29.99 credit plan would no longer be sufficient and the $59.99 per month plan for 500,000 credits would be recommended.
Let's turn off Compare Item URLs again to go back to where we started.
Now let's say we wanted to increase the frequency of checking and repricing to help minimize risk. Let's change How often Sku Grid should check items from every 4 hours to every 1 hour.
If we do that, then the credit usage would go up to 936,000 credits per month, and the $119.99 per month credit plan for 1.25 million credits would be needed.
If you decided to also use Compare To Item URLS, then the credit usage for the same 1000 items would go up to 1,656,000 credits per month. The $209.99 per month credit plan would be recommended for 2.5 million credits per month.
If you already have a Sku Grid account, you can access this estimator, by clicking on your Subscriptions Tab and going to Information About Credits. Please keep in mind that these credit estimates are just estimates and your actual usage may vary.
