The Band-
The Jacksonville, FL group had three Top 10 records, and all three had a 'one word' title, "Spooky" {#3 in 1968}, the above "Stormy", and "Traces" {#2* for 1 week in 1969} ...

For their last seven charted records they were known as 'Dennis Yost and the Classics IV'...

The name "The Classics" came from the Classic drum set Yost owned. He was known in the Georgia/Florida area as the "stand-up drummer" because he played standing up.

Dennis Yost passed away at the age of 65 on December 7th, 2008 {respiratory failure} ...

Atlanta Rhythm Section ("So Into You”, Etc.) from the middle 70's, were formed from members of The Classics IV. They did a cover version of "Spooky".
