Elements Round 2 ● The Swamp (Ft. Esmeralda)
Hi guys! So here's round two, where I collaborated with the very lovely sweetiepetitey! It was a lot of fun, with me doing the first half and her doing the second, so I hope you enjoy! ^^ man, editing earthbending is TOUGH with a character who does very little in terms of aggressive movements XD
Storyline:
After leaving the Southern Water Tribe, Pocahontas finds herself falling into a mysterious swamp when her sky bison falls asleep after travelling so long, crash landing in the swamp. After realizing where she is, Pocahontas is quick to start exploring the area, not wanting to stay in one place, whilst leaving her sky bison to rest. Soon it becomes nightfall, and Pocahontas stumbles across Esmeralda and a Sabertooth Moose Lion and acts quickly, using her earthbending to scare away the animal.
Esmeralda is extremely grateful and thanks her, explaining that she too crashed into the swamp on her bison, separated from him in the process. The two then look for Esmeralda’s bison, splitting up to search different parts of the surrounding area.At that moment, Pocahontas finds her attention caught by a figure in the fog, moving closer to investigate. She soon realizes it is Jet, the leader of the orphaned children she had grown up with. He angrily tells she has abandoned her family and that they need her to survive… and then he suddenly disappears. This is when Pocahontas realizes that “Jet” was only a hallucination, induced by the surrounding swamp. It was nothing more than her imagination playing tricks on her… right?At the same time, Esmeralda is also experiencing the effects of the swamp, seeing a ghostly figure appear before her. The woman leads her through the swamp, running from her until has nowhere else to go… but then she vanishes, much like Jet did with Pocahontas. It startles Esmeralda, as the woman was looking at her as if she recognized her… who WAS she…?As the sun rises the next morning, Esmeralda finds Pocahontas, who is still rattled by her experience last night. Esmeralda comforts her and tells her that she has found her bison, and that the two can finally leave this creepy place. Soon enough, they reach the Earth Kingdom, stopping just outside the Jasmine Dragon.
