Google's March 2025 Core Update: Winners, Losers & Ranking Impact
While everyone was expecting the March Google core update, the pre-update volatility was gauged by many SEOs as minor updates that Google is known to apply routinely. However, as the March core update was officially announced, people knew that the first core update of the year was bound to bring major fluctuations in rankings.

However, what many were not expecting was a quick recovery from websites that vanished from the SERPs as a result of site-reputation abuse update back in November. These websites had been de-indexed from the SERPs in November 2024, but as of March 2025, these websites are ranking for multiple keywords on the top positions. This could be due to the fact that while previously these websites were using third-party content.
Yet, after being hit by the previous update, these websites had started hiring in-house writers and editors to produce content instead of relying on third-party content, effectively avoiding the problem altogether.
