Wiring a Laptop Webcam
TLDR:
1: Look for the Braided/Twisted wires, they are your data cables.
2: Do a continuity test to determine the GND wire
3: To be on the safe side you can use a coin cell in a pinch to determine the positive wire by looking out for a voltage dip. (optional)
These things are pretty robust, I didn't fry the first one after giving it 10+ VDC in desperation.
