On February 19, 1931, IUOE Local 115 was founded in British Columbia. 95 years later, we proudly celebrate the generations of Operating Engineers whose skill, determination, and solidarity have built this province.
Through economic downturns, labour struggles, and rapid technological change, one thing has never wavered—our commitment to one another. Standing up for the craft, supporting our brothers and sisters, and taking pride in our work is what has carried Local 115 forward for nearly a century.
We honour the members who came before us—the builders, operators, and mechanics who laid the foundation we stand on today. As we mark this milestone, we also look ahead, committed to protecting our trade, strengthening our union, and ensuring future generations of Operating Engineers have the opportunity to thrive.
