Necessities (Official Video -- HD)
“Necessities” is a song I wrote with the great songwriter Steve Cataldo, whose band was and is one of the best bands to ever come out of Boston. I recorded it last year during the Pandemic and it came out on my recent album, The Marshall Plan. The record features stellar Boston musicians like Tony Savarino on lead guitar, Tom West on Hammond organ, Mark Nigro on bass, Mike Levesque on drums, and my sister Ellie Marshall singing backup vocals with me.
The video’s live footage was shot in Los Angeles by Emerson grad Mallory Shofi, has animation created by fellow Emerson grad Ethan Brandt, and it was edited by Ethan as well. And the music and the video were produced by me, and I am even the director of this one. I hope you dig it!
