Milky: Transition - Halo 2 Anniversary Montage
Hey everyone! It has, once again, been a minute. In traditional Milky fashion, I’ve decided to release this “main” tage of sorts on my 19th birthday! As a fun bonus, today is my second real day as a college student :)
There’s a lot I have to say about not only this tage, but my journey that led to the present day— feel free to read, I’d really appreciate it!
Most of these clips date back to October 2024 or sooner, though some of you may recognize the two reused clips from 2021. I figured they deserved to be treated better than they were originally, and I very proudly say that I’m thrilled with this video’s outcome. As Chris AppleFanatic once said, H2A has the least high tier montages out there. I hope that my videos have at least contributed slightly to fixing that drought! I set my standard high and I tried to hit all the marks in terms of variety, and I personally think I succeeded!
I started editing this a while back, but it never moved much since I still envisioned certain clips I wanted to hit. Additionally, between now and then, I finally (begrudgingly) made the dedicated switch over to DaVinci Resolve. While I wouldn’t say my editing style has changed as a result, it’s a very noticeable difference in how smooth things look. I hope you guys feel the same way too!
As many of you can probably infer from my past tages, this song/title is once again symbolic of where I’m at in life currently. Not only do I feel like my mindset overall has “transitioned,” but I’ve quite literally “transitioned” by moving states and starting college. While I still have my ups and downs now and then, I say with pride that I’ve grown immensely in my personal life and want to finally drift away from playing this game. Starting college has already been super exciting, and I feel that this song embodies the energy and attitude I hope to bring with me through this journey. My videos definitely aren’t disappearing though— I still have a decent amount of edits in the works, and I’ve also begun taking commissions for those of you interested. However, I truly hope I never grind for clips as hard as I did for this video ever again! 😃😃
As always, I thank you all for the continued support— some of you have supported my montages since elementary school which is just surreal! I know this game, and especially its taging community, will always hold a place in my heart and cement its place in my life :)
