New London Lighthouse sits about 100 meters from the shore of New London Bay on Prince Edward Island, Canada, amidst seagrass-covered sand dunes. Built in 1876, this lighthouse is of tapered wooden construction and is clad in white painted shingles with red trim. It is one of four lighthouses on the Island that have attached keeper's quarters. Of the many lighthouses that we have visited on PEI, this is one of our favorites because it offers a wonderful place to walk on the beach as well as a variety of scenes to photograph.
