'A split that is composed of both artists utilizing droning synths and field recordings based around the elements of hydrogen and oxygen.
Carbon Sons’s track is a very tastefully done crunchy noise track with the main focus on distorted and manipulated rain recordings, which is lead in the background by a droning, dark and pulsing sounding synth.
DIVISIVE’s track is a longer, eerie yet relaxing drone track utilizing rain and water field recordings. With the sounds of rain falling onto an upside down kettle, resulting in an almost Afro-Cuban sounding drum instrument. The field recordings being recorded atop a mountain where the artist lived. Hence the name Elevation. Among the manipulated rain and water recordings the track is lead by a few low end and bright droning synths. All recorded to a sampler then cut up, manipulated and re-recorded through a phaser, flanger and filter pedal. Featuring samples about the pleasures and down sides of reclusive living.
