"Dreams" is probably the most famous two-chord song, beloved by guitar teachers for its simplicity and effectiveness in teaching. In this lesson, I'll show you how to play "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac in 5 progressive steps. Starting with basic beginner chords and strumming, we'll gradually evolve to a fuller sound with intermediate techniques including bass and percussion elements.

We'll cover:
Basic chords and strumming
Adding rhythmic strumming patterns
Integrating bass lines
Incorporating percussive elements
Full instrumental section with A minor chord
We're going to tackle this in 5 levels: We start with the basic chords and simple strumming to get comfortable with the song's foundation. Then we'll add a muted strumming technique to enhance the rhythm and dynamics of your playing. We introduce anticipations to create a smoother, more fluid sound between chord transitions. Next we'll combine those anticipations with muted strumming for a more complex and engaging performance. Finally we incorporate a "snare" smack effect during mutes to add percussive elements and depth to your playing.
