Today marks Round 8 of the Middle of the Pack Racing League (MPRL) Cruising USA GR86 Championship for 2023 as brought to you on iRacing! We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which occurred on Wednesday 8th March with the aim of bringing it to you as if it were live!

In this round we conclude the Midwest Cup in the state of Wisconsin with a visit to Road America. Located in the picturesque countryside near Elkhart Lake village, the 4.05 mile circuit is one of a limited number worldwide which has retained its original configuration over its extensive 68 year history. Having played host to every major American road racing series, the track is loved by spectators and drivers alike for its fast flowing 14 corners and extended straightaways which mean intense racing action is never too far away!

In the PRO class, in adding another victory to his tally in Detroit last week, Jason Landry now sits 48 points clear of Aaron La. With a one-race advantage now in-hand, Landry is showing no signs of slowing down. Will Landry make it three wins in a row today?

In the PRO-AM class, Logan McKinzie withstood the pressure of his rival Alberto Alvarez to take victory last week and extend his advantage over Alvarez to 34 points. However, with Alvarez’s pace continuing to grow, will McKinzie be able to continue to keep his rival at bay?

In the AM class, despite a difficult day in Detroit, Fernando Takahashi continues to lead by nine points over Daniel Cedeno. Yet with so many of the class’ drivers on the pace including last week’s winner Avonn Dorsey, will Takahashi still be leading come the end of the cup?

Who shall be crowned our Midwest Cup winners? Tune in and find out!
