Esports Vikings podcast 30 - Esports trends in 2020
In todays episode we dive in to quite the different topic as we discuss esports trends in 2020. It has been quite a different year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, COVID-19, and as such much has changed in the esports ecosystem and we discuss the potential future impact of it. Games such as DOTA2, League of Legends and CS:GO have all been heavily affected and will for certain change the future as a whole. We also discuss trends going on in some Battle Royale games such as Fortnite and PUBG who are facing challenges to remain relevant in the esports scene. To round it off we also dive into some of the affects esports betting has seen due to tournaments being played online.
As we usually offer YouTube content on a weekly basis, but are unable to do so due to the coronavirus outbreak, we started this podcast over at / esports_vikings to fill the void. For the near future we will do this once daily at 12.00 CET.
