Abstract Figure Painting with Acrylics
This painting was my final project in my Figure drawing class. My professor wanted us to utilize the model in class and take our sketch home to abstract it a bit more.
I really stepped out of my comfort zone with this one. I've never used a black canvas or a triadic color scheme with red-violet, blue-green, and yellow-orange before. While the end result wasn't exactly what I'd hoped, I thought what I did create was interesting. If I could go back, I would definitely plan a bit more in order to make it all make sense, but this was an exploratory project.
