After months of recording, editing, gaming, mixing, simping (*so* much simping), mastering, waiting for Larian to say they won't cast Silence in my direction if I do this, and emailing back and forth... we're here. 5 months ago I wrote some fan lyrics set to the beautiful original song because it wouldn't stop playing in my head (joke's on me, though, it's Absolute-ly still there) and shared to my friend Craven of Auralnauts to get his opinion on the flow of the lyrics. And then we were remaking the music. And then rerecording the vocals for harmonies and fine tuning. And then emailing Larian to make sure I wasn't going to infuriate my favorite gaming company by doing this. And then waiting for licensing to get approved and the song uploaded.
And now we're here.
I almost don't know what to say. Other than thank you all, from friends who've supported my music and gaming insanity all these years, to gaming companies who create such inspiring and enjoyable works of art, to collaborators who's talent and drive push me forward, to fans old and new who share and comment (or not!) and vibe with me, to my parents who don't always understand the lyrics but still smile and celebrate with me. Thanks for being the first listen and like to the upload on YouTube Music, Mom. ❤
