In this short video demonstration, we test a motor drive featuring a gallium nitride (GaN) ePower™ Stage, EPC2152, that can operate from 20 kHz through 1 MHz switching frequency. The motor drive is operated from a 48 V DC supply voltage with and without a heat sink assembly to show how to easily increase the power density of the inverter.
