This futures option spread lesson is for the Ratio Credit Spread and is one I like to utilize quite often.
What I really like about using the Ratio Credit Spread is that it can offer added staying power if a market gets choppy.
A Ratio Credit Spread is simply selling multiple ‘out of the money’ options and then purchasing a closer to the money option in the same contract month. The number of contracts sold vs. the number of contracts purchased is the ‘ratio’. For example, if you sold three options and purchased one, the ratio would be 3 to 1 (3:1).
