I often struggle to get into pixel art games, because they feel like nostalgia traps, but Hyper Light Drifter was refreshingly well crafted, it was a new game when it needed to be, to avoid things that were clunky but Hyper Light Drifter has a 16 bit heart and wears it proudly.
