Obscure Sample Mixing: Adding the Finishing Touches

The hardest part of creating samples seems to be "knowing when to LET GO" and finalizing mixes. This video shows some of that process.

Everything besides the sax. the lead at 7:37 and a drum break layer came from this pack:

Timestamps:
0:51 Adding Bass Automation
2:10 Routing to External Hardware
3:15 Adding Analog Texture to the Bass
4:14 Plugging in the Zulu Tape Hardware
4:51 Adding Analog Texture to Synths
7:37 Live Lead from the Korg Prologue
10:51 Adjusting the Levels for Mastering
12:28 Putting the Drum and Percussion Sounds on a BUS
13:53 Plugging in a 1970s TEAC A-4010 Tape Machine
16:02 Final Master (Note: A combination of RND 542 500 units, the Zulu Tape Unit and the TEAC A-4010. Typically don't use the A-4010 due to its high noise floor, hums, etc. It's still fun to use and watch though)
