In this video we are going to talk about Transparent data encryption a feature that's available inside Microsoft SQL server. The feature in itself is not new in fact it's been around for quite some time and has been predicting MDF and LDF files across various releases of SQL server. However in SQL 2019 Microsoft has introduced the ability to pause and resume the transparent encryption that happens in the background. This gives the dba much more flexibility and ensuring consistent performance. In the video we cover how to set up transferring data encryption followed by how to pause and resume it.
