Pointing deep joints and stonework with cement or lime mortars
Using the Point Master tool for pointing deep joints on a modern reproduction flint wall with cement mortar. See how easy this tool makes this previously very difficult job. The most common prior technique was to throw the cement into the mortar cavity from a trowel or hawk. Inevitably, much of which is wasted.
Please note that cement mortar is used because the wall is a modern reproduction. Best results will be achieved when materials used are similar to existing. Heritage repairs should be carried out using traditional materials such as lime mortar.
