Raccoon is Startled by Scat Mat
Raccoon was SHOCKED to discover a deterrent. It wasn't meant for him but he definitely avoids this short-cut now.
Please know that the raccoon wasn't actually hurt - he stepped on a pet training mat that I had set out to try to stop the neighborhood cats from coming around and spraying our doors. It makes a sound and give a mild electrical charge -- so mild that I can touch it without even flinching.
