A Treble Clef is a symbol that is written at the start of the sheet music to assign different notes to the lines/spaces of the stave. It is used by a lot of instruments, including the right hand of the piano, flutes, guitars, etc..
Knowledge of the Treble Clef note names is really important when learning how to read music as it is the most common clef that is used in music.
In this video we look at all of the notes on the Treble Clef staff, including those on ledger lines. The position of Middle C on a ledger line just below the stave is highlighted and explained as this is one of the first notes that students will be guided to when learning the piano.
The lesson also introduces the well-known rhymes that can be used to learn the notes on the lines and the spaces of the staff.
