This video will give you a side-by-side demonstration of InstantControl versus MyHome in terms of speed for loading the app.
InstantControl not only provides fast access to Control4, but gives you several other great features. The simple and quick remote control is the fastest way to issue commands to your a/v system. Imagine listening to music for 30 minutes while working out, then someone knocks at the front door and you need to turn down the music very quickly. Simply start InstantControl, press the remote control button and turn down the volume.
Even better, if you were on a screen such as lighting, when you closed the app, it will start on the same screen again, even if you switch to a different device like a tablet or computer.
InstantControl also gives you 10 customizable InstantButtons for quick access to commonly used commands. As you can see here, we've added a simple Good Night button in Composer which we can now access on the home screen of any room.
The text at the top is also customizable and great for system messages such as an alert or simply entering a customer message.
Finally, the media bar shows the current album art and play controls so you can see what's playing.
