Learn how to program a Chess game in C#!
Welcome to part 17 of my C# Chess tutorial.
In this part, we add the fifty move rule to our game.
The rule states that, a draw can be claimed, if no capture is made and no pawn is moved for fifty consecutive full-moves.
We implement this using a counter variable which counts the number of consecutive non-capture and non-pawn moves.
If the counter hits 100, it means that 50 consecutive full-moves without a capture or pawn-move has occurred.
Our game will detect this and automatically end the game with a draw.
