My Turtle Tries Sous-Vide Insects... | Exo Terra Insects
In today’s video I thought i’d let my turtle know what heaven feels like, as he was able to taste test a variety of (packaged, sous-vide) insects. He didn’t like all of them though, as you’ll see in the video.
Info on my turtle:
Male Red Eared Slider (Rehomed, Not purchased as a baby)
65 Gallon Tank, filled with around 50/55 Gallons of water
Aqua clear 110, Aquaclear 70, And Fluval U3 Filters
Why is his tank so bare? I prioritize swimming space over “hiding spots” due to the fact that my turtle doesn’t like to hide. The tank has no substrate because my turtle will literally eat rocks, sand, gravel, etc. It’s unsafe & may cause impaction so for that reason the bottom of the tank is bare.
*Please not that insects will not suffice as a complete turtle diet. Nutrition requirements vary with the age of your turtle, with young turtles needing a more protein focused diet, while adults need less protein and more greens.
