RFI On Mobile Ham Radio, Ferrite Beads In The New Mobile Install, Icom 7100 And Fan Noise From AC!!
Newer vehicles cause a lot of unwanted RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) on your ham radio receive. Snap on ferrite beads can eliminate a lot of it, along with routing of your power wire, location of your base unit and even grounding.
I have never heard this kind of noise from an AC blower fan in a mobile. 2024 Nissan Frontier. I have a few more snap on ferrite beads to get rid of the rest of this noise, I'll post when i have it handled.
