Hello. In this tutorial, I will show you an easy, step-by-step method to create a split-screen effect using two videos in CapCut on your computer.
Step 1: Import your two video clips into your project. Drag and drop both clips onto the timeline, placing one on top of the other.
Step 2: Select the video clip on the top track. In the preview window, click and drag this video to one side of the frame, for example, to the right.
Step 3: Now, select the video clip on the bottom track. In the preview window, position this video on the opposite side of the frame to fill the empty space.
Step 4: Select the top video clip again. Go to the editing panel on the right, find and click on the "Mask" option.
Step 5: Click "Add Mask" and choose the "Split" mask from the list.
Step 6: A split line will appear on your video. Click and drag this line left or right to adjust the exact division point between your two video clips. You can also rotate the line for a diagonal split.
Your split-screen effect is now complete. You have successfully divided the frame to show two videos playing side by side. Thank you for watching.
