Soldier Bear: Wojtek 🐻🇵🇱
A bear cub was found by people abandoned in the wilderness, apparently its mother was shot and killed. The bear cub was sold to Polish Soldiers for food (Corned Beef). The soldiers raised the bear as one of their own, and named him Wojtek. Wojtek was eventually enlisted as a private. Woljtek would join the soldiers in anything, even drinking bears and eating cigarettes. He was promoted to Corporal after a valiant effort in war.
