River Table Part 2: Building The Mold, Pouring The River, Table Top Epoxy
My name is Tyler and this is my first attempt at a live edge river table. In this video, I move forward with building the mold in order to start pouring epoxy. I'm using Total Boat epoxy just because they are a reputable brand and I really like their River Table epoxy kit. The river was done in 5 pours and I waited 3 hours between pours in order to avoid sanding I applied the next pour while the previous one had not yet fully cured. After all that was done, I moved on to sealing the entire tabletop with Total Boat's penetrating epoxy in an attempt to avoid air bubble forming in the countertop epoxy. After some sanding I finished the bottom with a coat of Teak oil and then I did 2 pours of Total Boat's countertop epoxy. Over all I think it turned out pretty nice.
